Health Politics '08

Oct. 9 in Los Angeles -- The Change We Need: Can Either Presidential Candidate Reform Health Care?

With 46 million uninsured Americans -- 9 million of them children -- our ailing health care system has returned to the national political stage and will be a policy priority of candidates and voters from both parties in the upcoming election. To deepen the dialogue on this critical issue, The California Endowment's Center for Healthy Communities presents Health Politics '08, a series of Center Scene Public Programs that explores the role of health reform in 2008 and beyond.

Upcoming event:

The Change We Need: Can Either Presidential Candidate Reform Health Care?
Thursday, Oct. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
The California Endowment's Center for Healthy Communities
1000 N. Alameda St.
Los Angeles, CA 90012

In the face of a faltering economy, where will health care rank among the next president's top priorities?

Just weeks before the election and two nights after a presidential debate, political experts and commentators will give the inside scoop on how much health reform to expect in the new administration. Join us for this Center Scene Public Program and the return of panelists from last year's "Putting Health Reform through the Spin Cycle" to see what has changed in 2008.
