Health ExChange Academy: A Series of Interactive Trainings To Build Your Organization's Capacity
The Health ExChange Academy is the Center for Healthy Communities’ signature capacity-building program. It comprises a series of in-person training and skills-building courses that increase participants’ knowledge about and skills and abilities in advocacy, communications, evaluation and primary prevention. Each module is approximately three hours long and may be offered alone or added to a collaborative meeting, conference, or outreach session. Attendees may participate regardless of past experience and attendance and meals are complimentary.

Advocating for Change
A three-course curriculum designed to introduce participants to the field of public health policy and advocacy including coursework on issue framing, agenda setting and advocacy planning.
A seven-course curriculum designed to prepare health advocates to engage the media strategically to improve community health.
A full-day workshop designed to provide participants with the methods, tools and skills to conduct learning-based evaluation.
A two-course curriculum designed to help participants understand the underlying causes of poor health and craft solutions that can transform unhealthy environments into healthy ones.
