The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network held Voices for Change: Advocacy Solutions for Healthy Communities on May 7, 2007. The day-long conference included a panel of experts discussing the movement for health care reform and its impact on communities of color. Dolores Huerta, co-founder and first vice president emeritus of the United Farm Workers of America, AFL-CIO (UFW), gave the keynote speech at Women, Health and Aging, a convening to begin dialogue on how to build an older women’s movement that would bring public awareness and support for policy and systems change.
