Capitol Weekly and the University of California, UC Center present: California Health, a conference examining the California health care landscape.
The day-long conference will be held in Sacramento on September 23, 2015.
We will examine new and proposed legislation, including a landmark bill to extend Medi-Cal to undocumented immigrants, and the impact of the ACA on California, including the role of the Health Benefit Exchange — the single most important state piece of the federal ACA. Launched in 2013, the Exchange has affected millions of people and has had a profound impact on California’s health care market place.
Our keynote speaker is Diana Dooley, Chair of the Health Benefit Exchange Board. Four panels of experts, incuding Daniel Zingale of the California Endowment, Anthony Wright of Health Access, Xavier Morales of the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California, and many others, will look at California’s complex regulatory landscape, the fiscal impact of health care reform, and the affect of the ACA on consumers.
Early Registration rate is $149. Regular rate goes to $199 after September 9. Special $99 rate for students and California state government staff.
California Health will be held at 1123 J Street in Sacramento. Registration includes lunch and all conference materials.
