Vida en el Valle – A farmworkers push for health care

…I have developed rashes from exposure to the pesticides sprayed on the tomatoes I picked. I have pricked and sliced my hands while using the tools to harvest grapes. I have worked in hundred degree weather and have experienced trouble breathing from all the dust being kicked up in the fields. Throughout all of this I have had to self-medicate and hope that I would get better. Without health insurance I, and many other undocumented Californians, do not have an affordable way to treat my ailments and illnesses whenever I get sick…
