CHC screening

On Wednesday, August 19th, The California Endowment’s Center for Healthy Communities, along with Peace Over Violence, Violence Prevention Coalition of Greater LA, Picture Alternatives and Arts for Incarcerated Youth, is hosting a screening and panel discussion of The Mask You Live In, a documentary that follows boys and young men as they struggle to stay true to themselves while negotiating America’s narrow definition of masculinity.

Prior to the screening, you are invited to attend performances by Street Poets Inc. and Rhythm Arts Alliance— two local organizations that teach youth/young men how to use the creative process of spoken word and music as a means for healing from trauma.
