Desert Sun – Coachella, vote for democracy’s sake, and your own
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, for the November 2014 election 34.9 percent of the total Hispanic voting age population of 36.8 million (25 million of those citizens) in the United States reported being registered to vote and 18.4 percent reported having voted. By comparison, the bureau reported that when all races were surveyed, 59.3 percent of the 239.9 million of voting age reported being registered and 38.5 percent reported having voted.
