Position:  Travel Accountant


Position Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, manages and accounts for Travel in all aspects for The Endowment


Position Accountabilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the administration of the Travel & Entertainment Policy and Procedures
  • Administrator of the Concur expense platform supporting travel and expense reporting, expense auditing, report processing and technology
  • Provide excellent customer service and good judgment to all internal customers and business partners, frequently in need of rapid attention and response
  • Develop and provide Travel and Expense training to all staff
  • Institute & manage controls & procedures ensuring that all reports are being processed within the standards of the corporate Travel & Expense policy
  • Assist in monthly accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly accounting financial information related to purchasing card and T&E
  • Drive process improvement by identifying and developing more efficient procedures within the Concur platform while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Perform complex data analysis and other proactive measures to highlight opportunities for cost savings or improvements in internal controls
  • Complete system testing and Concur integration testing for new audit rules/changes in configuration



  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and Internal Controls
  • Concur Technologies experience required
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work cross-functionally with leadership teams
  • High-level analytical skills with exceptional follow-up and sense of urgency
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong desire to support the work of a philanthropic foundation



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred


Minimum Experience:

  • 4-6 years of related Accounts Payable experience; 3+ years in Travel and Entertainment
